Nokia Launched new mobile website to promote its Lumia smartphones

Nokia, after the presentation of its Nokia Lumia devices with Windows Phone 8, the Nokia Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 is pushing hard on the accelerator to promote the two mentioned smartphones.

It does this by opening a new web page: Nokia Mobile Site. The above page can be very useful at all, as noted:
Date of availability of the devices in your country: Users must leave their mail to receive news
New features detailed some apps like SkyDrive , Nokia Maps , Nokia Music .... but also new technologies used on Nokia Lumia 920

Great News for all current Lumia Windows Phone users!

Please visit Conversations by Nokia and read this page. You'll be pleasantly surprised I am sure.

The current Lumia range of smartphones will continue to be supported by Nokia with a new updated user interface, new features, apps and upgrades.

Amongst other things;

• A new Start screen look and feel, familiar from Windows Phone 8, giving you a whole new look the moment you unlock your phone
• Ringtone maker app to selected markets to create a personal ringtone
• Contact share app updated to support sharing over Bluetooth in addition to SMS and email
• Bluetooth file transfer to send media files via Bluetooth from your Lumia device to any other phone 

The rollout of these updates for the Lumia 610, Lumia 710, Lumia 800 and Lumia 900 smartphones will be phased, and we will share more details closer to the start of delivery.

How to upgrade NOKIA LUMIA 710 to Nokia DLOAD TUTORIAL

1. Download the file
2. Change the extension of the downloaded file. Zip (should happen: RM803_12w07_prod_generic_updated_nokia_osbl.zip)
3. Open the file. It should contain two files. We take out the file «nokia_osbl.mbn».

4. Connecting the Nokia 710 to a computer in a mode of Qualcomm (Turn off the phone. Hold down the volume + and connect the USB). We wait until the removable drive will appear.
5. Download the program "HxD" ftp://wa651f4:anonymous@mh-nexus.de/HxDSetupEN.zip
6. Run as Administrator HxD. Click the "Advanced -> Open Disk." My phone number appears in the program as a "Removable Disk 1."

7. We find our phone number. Remove the check mark "read only". Click "OK". The section begins with a boot sector with number 1001. To quickly find the sector take advantage of the panels at the top.
8. Make sure it starts with a «0B 00".

9. We hide HxD open it phone.
10. Now open the file «nokia_osbl.mdn» HxD in and copy all its contents (you can press Ctrl + A and Ctrl + C).

11. Go back to HxD open the phone.
12. At the beginning of the sector in 1001, about the letters «0B 00" right click and click 'Insert the replacement. "
13. Save the changes.
14. Disable USB. We take out the battery. Turn on the phone. Now you can flash with the NCS. But in order to install custom firmware, you have to re-open mode of Qualcomm.

New software update for Nokia Lumia 800 and 710 launched June and July 2012

Nokia introduces new and enhanced experiences. Get great new features and enhance your Nokia Lumia experience when you update your Nokia Lumia to the latest software.

With the new software version ending on .12XXX you will get:

• Latest Windows Phone operating system (Note. This is not WP 7.8 yet.)
• Internet sharing (Wi-Fi Hotspot) — Share your phone's internet connection over Wi-Fi with up to five other devices or computers.
• Flip to silence — Silence incoming calls by turning your phone face down.
• Fix to prevent the volume of the ringtone temporarily increasing (Lumia 800 specific)
• Download new apps from Marketplace, such as camera extras, including smart group shot and self-timer, Contacts share, and Play To, a DLNA app for showing your content wirelessly.
• Usability and performance improvements.
• Additionally Camera Extras (incl. smart group shots, panorama, action shots, etc.) will be available from the Marketplace plus other new imaging apps (like Citylens). Check out the following webpage: http://www.nokia.com/global/apps/nokia/lumiaupdateapps

The update will be released in weekly waves, and we have again created an Availability page for you to check the status of the update for your country. Please note that once the software update has been released, a quality control method called “throttling” will apply. That means, when the updates are started, throttling will initially decrease the update’s visibility to enable us to follow up if the update is working fine for everybody. As soon as the update is available for you, you will get a notification  pop-up on the phone screen (if automatic checking not disabled manually) .

How to flash full unlocked firmware without linux Nokia Lumia 800/710

Since windows phone like nokia lumia series need linux for unlocking.Here is the steps you can unlock your lumia 800 without Linux ubuntu.

1. Install VMwareMOD EDIT Google it

2. Download firmware from this topic: for Lumia 800 , for Lumia 710

3. Download UbuntuMOD EDIT Google it.

4. Start WMvare, than choose Create A new virtual machine.

5. If it asks lock CD-ROM, say YES.

6. Go to VM>Settings>Options>Guest Isolation mark VMCI, click OK

7. Copy os-new.nb to Ubuntu's home folder.

Turn off your Lumia, hold pushed VOL + and POWER, plug into your USB, you will feel a short vibration. If Windows asks format USB drive, SAY NO OR IT WILL EXPLODE!

9. In status bar find icon "Quallcomm CDMA Technologies MSM", right click and choose Connect.

10. In left side click Dash, write "disk utility". Than Open Disk Utility.

11. In the left column, go to Quallcom MMC Storage, remember what letter your phone's drive.

It takes 15-20 mins. Do not be nervous.

At the end you will see something, like this:

12. Open terminal (Ctrl+Alt+T)

13. Make Full backup:

sudo dd if=/dev/sdX of=~/fulldump

Where X is drive detected by your Ubuntu!

If Ubuntu asks password, you must enter.

It takes 30-35 mins

14. Get your activation code.

15. Flash your Lumia:

Code:

sudo dd if=~/os-new.nb of=/dev/sdX9

It takes 15-20 mins. Do not be nervous.

At the end you will see something, like this:

16. Then take out and isert battery( Lumia 710). Hold the power button about 10 seconds (Lumia 800). 

17. Turn on your Lumia. 

18. Enjoy!
